NOTICE:
The Freehold Borough Police Department is an Equal Opportunity
Employer. For a contemporary law enforcement agency to be most
effective, it should offer a diverse group of police officers to the
public it serves. Therefore, our agency strongly encourages women
and persons of all ethnic and racial backgrounds to apply for
employment. However, in all cases our agency will take the most qualified
applicants so no one becomes the victim of any type of
discrimination.
Police
Officer
The Freehold Borough Police Department falls under the umbrella of the New
Jersey Department of Personnel. This means that we do not
directly accept applications for employment for positions of police
officer.
Generally, the New Jersey Department of Personnel issues applications
for the written exam in January of each year. Applications must be
returned to the New Jersey Department of Personnel by the deadline
listed on the application. Applicants will then be contacted by
mail and informed where and when to report for the written exam.
The results of the exam will be sent to applicants by mail some time
after the exam.
Further phases will be required prior to consideration for employment
which may include a physical agility exam, a medical exam, a
psychological evaluation, a thorough background investigation, several
levels of
interviews, and other phases as deemed necessary by either the
New Jersey Department of Personnel and / or the Freehold Borough Police
Department. Click here to visit the
New Jersey Department of Personnel Website.
Dispatcher
We are always accepting applications for
Dispatcher positions.
Special
Officer
We are always accepting applications for Special Officer Class I and
